Fatback Bikes: Welcome to the Fitzy Family

Fatbacks now at Fitzgerald's

Fatbacks now at Fitzgerald's

I have to admit the lack of snow on the valley floor in Teton Valley has got me a bit frustrated. We’ve been talking about fat bikes for awhile now, and although I have gotten some nice rides in, I am itching for some consistent riding on snow right from my house. Is it global warming or just a odd string of Pacific Storms without the normal blast of cold air from Canada that makes for the plentiful snow here in the Tetons? Either way the rain is getting me down. I can only hope these past several weeks don’t portend what the winter will eventually hold.

Look at how fat that rear triangle is!

Fortunately we just got in two of the most beautiful frames known to fat bike lovers into the shop to fire up my fat biking stoke. Yup, that’s right, we just got two Fatback Bike frames. Let’s just take a minute to gaze at what I can only describe as fat bike porn.

Welds to Drool Over

Don't Bright and Shiny Objects Make you Smile?

These bikes are just plain gorgeous. Impeccable welds and that sparkly, anondized purple and orange just make me hopeful for a snowy winter.

More Welds!

Not just beautiful, these Fatbacks have features!

  • 6000 Series Custom Extruded Tubing
  • 1780 g for a medium (18″) frame
  • Tapered Head Tube (44 mm Upper Cup, 56 mm Lower Cup)
  • Belt, Singlespeed and 135 mm Hub Compatible

Tapered Headtubes!

And we have a couple build options for you.

  • XT Build for $3699
  • Frame only for $850
  • Carbon Fatback Fork for $350
  • Custom builds starting at $2899

How would you build this Fatback?

Speaking of Custom Builds, I am not sure you know, but Brandon is our Custom Build Expert. He has this spreadsheet he creates for each custom build that is a matrix of weight, price, ride quality and component sweetness. We’ll have to talk more about that later, but if you are interested in a custom build on these Fatbacks or another frame, give Brandon a call at 208-787-2453 and he will hook you up.

Picked up my Fat Back today and had an awesome ride. Thanks Jay for getting me set up. I now look forward to a “long” winter in Idaho.
