Technical trails demand skills and fitness, and your bike needs to be able to keep up. Trek's Remedy 8 29 laughs at high-speed descents, techy climbs, rocks, roots, and pretty much anything else you can think of. The aluminum frame sports an E2 head tube and a 142x12mm rear through axle for line-holding stiffness. When it's time to climb, the ABP and Full Floater rear suspension allows for efficient pedaling and mind-boggling traction. Wherever you are, the 140mm Fox 34 up front and Float shock out back are doing what you want, when you want. You're armed with an SLX/XT group for first-rate shifting and confident braking, tubeless-ready Bontrager wheels and a legit Bonty bar, stem, post, and saddle. No matter how sick the terrain, you have the Remedy.

Bike climbs well for its weight and descends like a diving eagle! My reasons for not giving it a 5 star reveiw is it is very expensive in comparason to its smaller brother the fuel ex 8 though it has the same exact build kit minus frame and fork although it is still worth it (just wondering why so much of a difference). also the headset was very cheap and low quality (it gave out on the second ride). And last is not being to put a different shock on it i at times wish i could put a coil shock on it. I know it sounds like i am complaining about allot but they are all very minor complaints and would have no trouble getting another.

Ive bought this bike in Christmas 2013 .Fantastic present from santa :-) The riding is a really pleasure, 29" wheels make me 3x faster than my old 26er. Very good sterring after change stem for little shorter, suspansion like u can expect just flying. One think, If you decide to buy it,before first ride you have to change lengt of outer cable for front mech. This small part just under saddle.I didnt and when rear shock is working outer cable rubbinig against frame, this one reason i scrach paint and eaven little alluminium. Generally is funtastic Bike

I love the bike! The slx/xt build works great. The suspension is spot on. I give the bike 4 stars even with the Duster rims. It would be nice though to step up to the rhythm wheel set for as much as you pay! Duster's don't hold up but a few months, even with a non-aggressive riding style!
