The 4.0 comes equipped with a tapered carbon fork for responsive cornering, wide-range Shimano Tiagra cranks and 10-speed shifters so it climbs uphill as quickly and easily as it climbs to the top step of the podium. Having been designed for racing on the cobbles of northern Europe, the Domane also comes with an integrated chain keeper to keep you pedaling no matter how bumpy the road.

Excellent bike. I am extremely happy with the bike. I am coning from another companies endurance aluminum bike and the difference is night and day. I know swapping to carbon makes a difference but with the Domane's design it is so nice. I was able to take the bike on a 25 mile test ride that I normally ride and was sold on it half way through. Do yourself a favor and test ride the Domane line-up you will not regret it. The components are more than expected. The Tiagra 10 speed performs better than expected; I attribute this to the Shimano trickle down technology. Brakes are better than my last bike and stop very well. The frame absorbs all the bumps in the world. With all the things listed the bike allows me to ride a lot longer, with more comfort and at a better speed/pace.

Just got my Domane,was solely mtb.but wanted the road.Ya it's got Tiagra,but those and everything else will get upgraded.This is the best looking TREK available and not to worried about the parts,they work fine for me.Love this bike A++

This bike is a gift from my lovely wife...The bike is great! I used this bike at Tour De Houston and it served it well. You can really feel the power transfer, comfortable, less vibration when you hit small pathole..I got this bike at my LBS....Thank you for your help. The sadle is painfull but thats personal preference. Tiagra is fine but at this price it should be in Ultegra Group Set..IMHO
