Maxxis Ikon EXO (29-inch)

Maxxis' Ikon, as the name suggests, is one tire that other treads look up to. Great for everything from dry hardpack to loose, this light tire still gives you high-volume and a 2.2-inch width for hold-your-line control. It features their triple-compound technology with softer sides for great cornering, a harder, fast-rolling center section, also helped by ramped knobs, and hard-ridin' durability. This EXO version adds an extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material to the sidewalls for extra peace of mind.

  • This is a folding tire.
  • This can be used as a front and rear tire.
  • The eXCeption Series of tires is a combination of a softer 62a compound and supple 120 TPI casing. This makes for a lighter model tire and enhances cornering, braking, and acceleration. These tires are recommended for race use only.

    Love this tire!

    Great tire that grips more than you would think a race tire would. Works great for much of the New England riding, sets up great tubeless and is my favorite front tire since it was released.
