Electric assist pathway bike. Dominate any distance astride Giant's Twist Freedom! With its push-button RideControl command center and lightweight EnergyPak lithium-ion battery, this comfy commuter can conquer any route. Set it to Sport, Normal or Economy mode, start pedaling in the back-friendly, upright riding position, and this smart bike does the rest. When fully charged and ridden in economy mode, the SyncDrive motor and battery keep you cruising smoothly for up to 35 miles, and there's even an included SmartCharger that charges your battery quickly so you can head out the door for adventure in a snap. Plus, there's also a low-maintenance Shimano 7-speed internal drivetrain so you can pedal uphills and down, linear-pull brakes for excellent control, and stellar commuting features like fenders, a rack, kickstand and a bell!

I've ridden traditional bikes for years (road bikes and city bikes) but wanted a good quality e-bike for inter-city transportation and casual riding around Norman. I reviewed a number of quality e-bikes and believe that the Giant Twist Freedom was the one for me. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. Overall, a quality bike with good components – it's comfortable, solid, gets surprising distance from the battery, and provides effortless riding. I fully confirm the above on-line review and suggest you read it prior to making an e-bike purchase. I got a great price on the bike at Bike One in Norman (much better than the listed price)[...] There are a lot of e-bikes currently on the market. They seem to be proliferating on the west coast and the New England area. Some of the bikes available locally and on-line are rather inexpensive. However, my suggestion after researching substantially is that you really need to go with a high quality e-bike if you plan to use it significantly. I also suggest that you purchase one locally so you can get support if needed. I expect my Twist to last many years - a very impressive product and right for the times.
