Scott's CR1 technology is a manufacturing process they call carbon welding. This consists of CNC-cut tubes (for exacting tolerances) that are assembled and then made as one by wrapping the joints with multidirectional carbon. The frame is then cured. The result is a super-strong, ultra-light and absolutely beautiful-riding bicycle.
