The BB7's by Avid were replacements for the promax disk that came standard on my bike. What an improvement! The power of the brakes improved exponentially! These are even better than some hydraulic systems! The only downside to these brakes is that when they get wet they get noisy, very noisy. Not a big problem but just worth mentioning.
