This frame is built to run up to 4.0-inch wide tires, providing flotation in snow, sand, and mud allowing you to ride when other people are stuck. And you can ride singlespeed or geared, thanks to Salsa's Alternator rear dropouts. Other touches include five water bottle cage attachments (3 on the frame, 2 on the fork), rack mounts, and shaped chainstays and seatstays for plenty of pedaling clearance while wearing snow boots.
