Description
Trek's Verve 3 WSD is a super-plush ride no matter where you choose to roam thanks to an easy-pedaling aluminum frame and a suspension fork to smooth any road or path. Sublime comfort comes in the form of a relaxed upright riding position with an adjustable stem and wide handlebars. And pedaling is a cinch, the 24 gears mean easy climbing. Plus, you'll love the cushy Bontrager seat and suspension seatpost that makes the bumps disappear. If you forgot how much fun riding was, one ride on the Verve, and you'll never forget.

Cons:
Best Uses:

I bought this bike because I enjoy bike riding. My fitness goals involve cycling. I was looking for comfort, and ease of use when I went shopping for a bike. The Verve is very comfortable. The handlebars are situated so my hands and arms are comfortable. The seat is also comfortable. The gears shift easily! I enjoy riding 10-15 miles each day. My goal as time goes on is that my miles increase. The Verve is so awesome to ride it has increased my enjoyment of bike riding and my goals!

Perfect Bike for Me
Pros:
Versatile, Durable, Lightweight
Cons:
Best Uses:
Commuting/City
Purchased this bike to be able to ride with a woman's riding club. At 62 I needed to be able to have a lighter weight and very functional bike. I have only had it for a month, and I couldn't be happier. Everything about it is just right for me. I needed a step through for my hips, but didn't want to sacrifice anything. I can load it easily and at 4'11" my reach is not that high. Lightweight, Beautiful, and Rides Like a Dream. It is perfect for me. THANKS TO TREK

Love it!!!
Pros:
Lightweight, Versatile
Cons:
Best Uses:
Weekend Rides On Greenway, Family Weekebd
Love my Trek! Best bike I've ever had. I am a mom that works full time and wanted to get out and ride with the kids. Comfortable light weight but sturdy construction and stylish. (I have the white one). Love my Trek. I can't wait to ride it every weekend!
Had to go with a 19" frame (my Giant Nutra is 21") to get adequate fore and aft distance. However, if I adjust seat height properly--so that my knee is slightly flexed at the bottom of the stroke--I am quite a ways from the ground when I get off. I have to hop. Maybe that's unavoidable. In any case, 17" is too cramped.

My Husband and I Love our Trek Verve 3's . We haven't been on a bike for 37 years, so at 57 years of age we wanted to stay fit. We are now having the time of our lives and will never look back. we also started planning our vacations around the bikes. We won't leave home without them.

My 1st real bike and I'm in LOVE!
Pros:
Solid Frame, Good sizefit, Good Padding, Stable, Comfortable padding, High Quality
Cons:
Best Uses:
Main Transportation, Use With A Kids Trailer
I use my bike everyday as my car! I have a 2 yr old that I put in her trailer and off we go! This is my first "real" bike, and is quite an investment even though I got it for Mothers Day. The second I rode it to work I knew the difference. I love riding my bike now, before it was a chore.
Thanks!

Comfortable bike
Pros:
Great For Arthritis, Lightweight, Comfortable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Commuting/City, Country Roads
I specifically upgraded to this bike because I was told the handle bars and grips would be good for the arthritis in my hands. And they were right. Rode for over 2 hours last Sunday and no pain.
Love this bike
I am a 61 year old woman interested in keeping up with 2 younger generations of my bicycle-riding family. My Trek Verve Hybrid 3 x 8 gives me "Granny Gears" (ugh... who thought of that name?!) to allow smooth and easy riding in the foothills where I live. They are the "equalizers" allowing me to keep up and keep having fun! Loved the buying experience at the Bicycle Emporium in Auburn CA. Travis, Fred, and Josh have been terrific... tending to newer cyclists as well as avid athletes. Thanks Trek for making such a comfortable (love the saddle and fork suspension) bike!!

Great bike, hate the flower design
Pros:
Smooth shifting, Comfortable
Cons:
Flowers
Best Uses:
After hurting my back I found I needed a more upright comfort bike for commuting to work. I tested out several brands and models and was most impressed with the Verve 3 WSD. Unfortunately they didn't have my size in stock and only had the white color, so when the sales associate asked if I wanted it in grey I said yes.
When I picked it up the next week I was really disappointed that it was decorated with bright yellow flowers. I was so excited to get my bike, and having to travel 30 minutes out of town to the store, I convinced myself that maybe the design would grow on me. But no. I'm actually kind of offended that Trek would assume women want flowers on their bikes; they certainly don't decorate men's bikes with bacon or mustaches to make it more "manly."
In all, it is a great, comfortable bike with quality components, but I regret buying a bike that has to remind me and everyone else around me that this is a girls-only bike.

I absolutely love my new bike!
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
It was time for me to switch from a road bike to a more comfortable women's bike. I have tried several other bikes before choosing the TREK Verve. The grips as well as the comfort sold me. I purchased a water bottle holder (velcro mounted) and was trying to decide where to place it especially since I kicked it everytime I got on the bike. My husband mounted it on the handbar stem. It fit perfect and is not in the way. In fact, I have easy access to it when riding.

Smooth ridin on my verve 3
Pros:
Smooth ride, Smooth shifting
Cons:
Best Uses:
Trail riding
Very happy with my new bike. I like riding pretty much upright so added a handlebar height extender when I purchased it. Good decision. Rode my husband's 1970s-era bike recently. Major difference due to the great front and seat shocks on mine. Another good decision. The convenience of the click lever shifters are worth trade-off in handlebar accessory mounting space. Just getting back into the hobby and am amazed at how far I can ride without getting fatigued. Love my bike.
I am a 54 year old woman who has worked up to riding 20 miles at a time quite easily. I feel good when I am on the bike, as well as when I get off the bike. The bike is responsive and comfortable.

Nice smooth ride!
Pros:
Quiet Fast Ride, Love The Step Through, Shifts Easily, fun
Cons:
Limited color choices
Best Uses:
PATH RIDING, Trail riding, Commuting
I'm very pleased with this bike. It's everything I wanted and more. The bike is so enjoyable to ride, I find myself using it more and more. The shifting on this bike is absolutely flawless and the main reason I purchased it! The one thing that's hard for me to get use to is my water bottle is mounted on the handlebars, since it's the step-through style, not a big deal just something I'm adjusting to. I love this bike!!

Fantastic Ride!
Pros:
Comfortable, Flawless shifting, Smooth ride
Cons:
Best Uses:
Road, Rail Trail
This is the first "real' bike I have owned. I have only had bikes from large department stores. I am a beginner and just recently joined a local bike club, so I am getting rides in a couple times a week for about 11-15 miles each ride. We ride on trails and the road.
I was initially very impressed with the smooth ride and shifting. After a few minor adjustments (handle bars and saddle) I was later impressed with the comfort of the saddle and lack of aches in my arms and back. The comfort level helps me to stay in the saddle and go additional mileage that I never would have done on my old bike. I look forward to getting on my bike and riding as much as i can.
As another reviewer mentioned, I, too, was unimpressed with the color choices. I ended up with the gunmetal (silver) with yellow detailing...it's really grown on me. I, also, purchased the matching fenders and rear rack. It looks great, keeps me clean, and carries my extras!
I have to say that this was a very expensive item for me but I do not regret making this purchase because it gets me out exercising and I don't even consider riding this bike exercise; it's my therapy!

GREAT Bike!!
Pros:
Smooth easy shifting, Comfortable
Cons:
Limited color choices
Best Uses:
Light trails, Greenways
I've ridden my new Verve four times now, and I'm so glad I spent the extra money and got a GOOD bike. This bike is comfortable and fun to ride. I mostly ride on our extensive local greenway system, but I'm looking forward to riding the Virginia Creeper Trail and the Cades Cove Loop in the Great Smoky Mountains. I now feel that I have a bike that will let me do these things. Now we're going to get one for my husband so we can ride together! To me, the only drawback is the very limited color choices, but that's a lot less important than how great it is to ride.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BIKE!
Pros:
Cons:

I absolutely love this bike! I have always bought department store bikes and thought they were just fine until I rode this bike. I cant believe how smooth of a ride this bike is, it pedals so easily. We ride on a lot of bike paths but sometimes we ride on off-road trails and it still handles great. Although I would not recommend muddy trails. It is also great for putting my sons seat on as well. Now every member of my family rides Trek bikes. I will never ride anything but a Trek again!

I just bought tis bike after riding my Trek 750 for 19 years. I love this bike! As a senior rider I found that I needed a step through for safety but I did not wanted to give up the aggressive ride that I was used to. This fits the bill. Thank you Trek.
