Trek's WSD bicycles

Trek's WSD bikes feature women's-specific frames, suspension and components for a wonderful, custom fit and amazing ride. For example, the frames sport short top tubes, tall head tubes, steeper seat-tube angles and decreased head angles. Plus, suspension forks are fine-tuned for light riders. These details ensure top-notch handling, comfort and pedaling efficiency. Complementing the great ride are proportional crankarms, anatomic saddles, narrow handlebars, short-reach controls and small-diameter grips. Take a test ride and experience the WSD difference!

Best Bike I've Ever Owned!

Pros:
Lightweight, Rugged, Womens Specific Seat, Smooth Ride, Versatile, Great Components, Handles Well
Cons:
Best Uses:
Single Track, Cross Country, Downhill, Casual Trails, Free Riding
I use this bike for recreation and training. I have rode multiple types of single track as well as downhill, larger trails and technical single track and on the street. It has been a fantastic bike. It rides smooth, I feel really centered on it and in control at all times making it easy to maneuver through technical terrain. Its light weight also allows me to manipulate its position. The components on it are fantastic. I like the gears and how easy they are to utilize. The hydraulic brakes are easy to use and awesome! The geometry of the frame is perfect and it allows me to feel confident in any riding situation. The seat is the best one I've ever had on any bike that I've previously owned. My lady parts are not numb and unusable after a good ride. This has been the best bike I've ever owned by far! Im super stoked that my husband got it for me.

I have the previous Model.

Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
The seat is surprisingly very comfy. It looks hard and skinny but it's perfect. I wouldn't take this on serious off road adventures as I don't think it would be the best bike but on average rocky and slightly rough tracks it's a very cunning bike. I love this bike and for the price it's getting away from the cheap models and into the next level. It came with French valves, I was new to that concept and found them a hindrance. I bought the valve connections and now they don't worry me to pump up my tires. It's still a wee bit heavy, not like a super heavy bike though.

Best bike I've ever had.

Pros:
Versatile, Handles Well, Smooth Ride, Lightweight, Rugged, Great Components
Cons:
Best Uses:
Casual Trails, Single Track, Free Riding, Downhill, Cross Country
As a lifelong rider I have owned a lot of bikes over the years, everything from ultralight roadies to rugged mountain bikes. These days I commute by bike during the week and ride with my kids on the weekend on the road, paved pathways and well maintained dirt park paths. When my main mountain bike was damaged I decided to try a few test rides on different bikes before committing to an expensive repair bill. After one ride on the Skye SL I just had to have it. The geometry is well thought out and extremely comfortable for me as an average, athletic female. The components are good quality and this bike can handle pretty much anything I throw at it. I've taken it on some pretty aggressive trails and it performed really well and is equally at home on family jaunts around the local park trails or my mixed terrain commute. The more I ride the better I love this bike. It could well be the best bike I've ever owned.

Good beginner Bike

Pros:
Handles Well, Smooth Ride, Rugged
Cons:
none
Best Uses:
Cross Country, Single Track, Casual Trails
This was a bike my wife picked out after trying a marin and specialized as my family got into mountain biking. We have done various rail trails and some easier singletrack. I explained to my wife the importance of a good bike and a good frame for enjoyable riding experience. At first she didnt believe me, but the best comment she gave on one of our first rides was the bike seemed to want to go over roots and rocks with little effort or trouble. All the signs of a good bike. Now this isnt a XC racing machine, but it is a great bike and the frame is solid. The parts can be replaced over time but the riding mechanics cannot. A good solid bike for what it is definity 5 stars.

Great bike!

Pros:
Versatile, Smooth Ride, Lightweight, Great Components, Handles Well
Cons:
Best Uses:
I tried many bikes, including hybrids. This bike is versatile, you can go off road or in town. I like that the shocks can locked off. Great fit for woman's body. I had no back pain or soreness after first long ride. I had the bike store put a little smoother and narrower tire on it, than the one the manufacturer put on the bike, this made the road riding great!

Haven't had a new bike since '97 so this was a real treat. The fit is excellent for women with superb comfort. Haven't done much riding yet, but can tell I'll be having better performance rides on the trails with the Skye SL.

Love at first sight

Pros:
Smooth Ride, Versatile, Lightweight
Cons:
Best Uses:
Casual Trails
I went to some stores just to take a look at a new bike... In fact, after trying at least 4 models of other brands, at the moment I tried this bike I decided to take it with me. It is great, and best of all, it is sooooo comfortable, fitting my body and not the contrary. I use it everyday since the day I bought it, riding along my neighborhood and at the park to burn some calories and let the stress behind.
