Description

Thule's T2 platform rack securely carries 2 bikes by the wheels. It doesn't touch the frames or forks so it's ideal for carrying bikes with funky suspension designs. The T2 also loads in seconds with minimal lifting involved so it's great for heavier freeride and DH bikes. With integrated bike locks, this sturdy rack also secures to your vehicle with Thule's Snug-Tite receiver lock. Take any bike, the T2 accepts 20- to 29-inch wheels and up to 3-inch-wide tires. Plus, it folds down when not in use for easy access to the back of your vehicle.

GREAT PRODUCT...JAKE EVEN BETTER!

Pros:
Stable, Durable, Easy to Use
Cons:
Best Uses:
Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes
Wanted to get a Hitch Platform bike carrier. And Jake convinced me the Thule T2 was the product. And must say: he was spot on. This is a great product. Even more: they put the thing together for me(I do not have that skill)--and Jake took another 1/2 hour explaining how it worked when I picked it up. I love Palm Desert Cyclery--and they have won my business for a lifetime. The best service in the valley. Period.

No bike to bike contact

Pros:
Stable, Lightweight, Easy to Use, Easy to Install, Durable
Cons:
Locks
Best Uses:
Road Bikes, Large Cars, Mountain Bikes
This is a great rack, that said, the locks won't stop any one determined enough to Possess your bike as their own, but will slow them down. Also, with the add on installed, the unit is around 3.5-4ft long, and doesn't fit in most garages attached to larger vehicles. Final verdict, I wouldn't waste my money on trying out anything else. This rack does it all and will last a long time with proper care.

Best bike rack I have ever owned

Pros:
Easy to load and unload, Easy to Install, Stable, Durable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Small Cars, Mountain Bikes, Large Cars, Road Bikes
If you want to be the envy of all your bike friends, this is the rack for you (I have friends who are mechanically oriented and they were impressed before I even put a bike on it). I also got the extension to hold four bikes. Although I have not gotten the stop watch out yet, I would bet I can either load or unload four bikes in less than three minutes. I own a road bike, a hybrid and a full suspension mountain bike. All three types fit equally as well (I have carried four full suspension mountain bikes without an issue). With more conventional racks (two bars through the triangle of the frame) I had an issue with loading my wife's bike with its female frame being contorted and sticking up. Not an issue with this rack. The same is true for kids bikes. The rack also allows you to shift the bike positions on the rack (left or right) so the seat and handlebars do not run into each other with alternate positions when loading. Loading the rake onto the car is a matter of one bolt and the extension has two bolts, neither of which takes more than a minute or two to tighten. The bikes also have a much more stable ride than a conventional rack (no need for stabilizer bars or ties). I have the 2" receiver and use the rack on a small SUV and a large pick-up truck. The rack works equally as well for either and it folds up when attached and not loaded with bikes. There are only two downsides to this rack. With the extension for four bikes the rack is expensive. Also if you try to carry the two pieces together the rack is heavy (I store the rack in two pieces). However, after you have tried it you will find these issues not to be an issue in your decision. This by far is the best rack I have ever owned.
