CycleOps’ JetFluid Pro Trainer is your secret weapon. Use it whenever time or weather constraints arise so you can stamp your authority on the hills, races or group rides next time the sun shines. The Pro features progressive resistance, where just like the real world, resistance builds the faster the wheel spins. Charging through 600-watt intervals or spinning easily in the little ring requires no adjustment; the power curve automatically changes to give you a silky-smooth workout. Plus, the Fluid is whisper quiet and the frame is tough, sturdy and stable so you can ride as hard as you want.

Great trainer, relatively quiet. Easy to set up. I regularly forget to take the tension off the back wheel when I'm done which has caused an indentation in the tire. It led to a loud thump but I replaced the tire and it's all good. Just a tip.

My first trainer so not much to gauge it to, but I see no need for any other. Stable, good resistance. This winter will is going to be awesome. One thing though after I slapped on a CycleOps training tire (Yellow) it kicked it up a notch. Much better than my regular road tire, it became smoother and most important much quieter! My Wilier does not like being restrained...she'll just have to get use to it :)

Good, not great...
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I like 3 things--Resistance unit is very smooth, unit provides more resistance than previous mag trainer and frame has adjuster to keep it from wobbling on uneven floor.
What I don't like--(In greater detail)
1) There is very little resistance to 15mph. I get it that the resistance curve is different than a mag trainer, but I don't find this realistic road feel at all.
2) When you spin it up, the resistance comes on quick and hard. Again, I know it is different than a mag trainer*.
3) The fixed and adjustable arms that hold the bike's QR are spindly, compared to many other trainers (Blackburn, Kinetic). My rear tire moves all over the roller as these under-supported arms flex within the main, black framework. I won't brag about how smooth I pedal, but this was NOT any issue on previous trainer. Climbing or sprint workouts, as listed under "best uses" below, would seem like a disaster waiting to happen.
*My workouts with my old mag trainer (BBurn Tech Mag 6) were done in the big ring and I shifted all over the rear cogs to tailor the resistance to what I needed. With the JFPro, I am using only a 3-4 cog range in the back. Lower gears are spinning away at no resistance. Higher gears offer impossibly high resistance. I WISH this JFPro had a less abrupt upturn in it's resistance curve--shallower, less aggressive.
My big gripe with my previous BBurn trainer was that it did not offer quite enough max resistance, so I bought the JFPro. I DID get (much) greater max resistance and the unit IS smooth, but feel I went backwards in bike-to-trainer stability and workout variety. I am keeping it for now, but also on the lookout for something more to my liking.
On a side note, I found that the mounting tabs for the resistance unit were the same on this JFPro and a Kinetic Cyclone trainer I had around. If I could have easily mounted the fluid unit on the Kinetic frame, which is BRILLIANT and ROCK SOLID, I would have had a fantastic trainer. The screwball, idiot-proof, torque limiter adjuster on the JFPro resistance unit was what kept me from completing this project.
It's not a bad trainer, but it isn't the one I was hoping for, either.

Amazing versatiluty
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I bought this trainer a couple years ago after having a Mag trainer for the last 10 years! I couldn't believe how much quieter it is and how smooth the drum is. Why did I wait so long? Now it is so much easier to use virtual trainer or even watch a DVD because I dont have to blast the audio at max. And the power curve is so much better that I am able to tailor my intervals a lot better. This winter will be much better than previous ones for those reasons for sure! Only thing I have trouble with is dialing in the tension on the rear wheel, they could have made it easier to fine tune so I dont get so much slip or tire wear.

This is a great trainer! I have used other trainers in the past, but this one is the best I've used. Nothing to assemble, easy to set up, and best of all, It has unlimited resistance! I got the training kit from Scheels and it comes with nice extras. I also bought a trainer tire for my road bike so I won't have to worry about burning through my riding tires. One other nice thing is at high cadences I still have resistance.

Good... after a bit of a hiccup
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I bought this on a special deal offer through a large cycle shop group in the UK at the start of autumn. Initially, I was a little disappointed as the tensioning screw was faulty - it wouldn't 'click' - and the shop wanted me to buy another instead of simply replacing it (even though it was less than 24 hours old)! I complained direct to the UK importers and within a matter of hours, I had the CEO of Cyclops fighting my case for me - they send a replacement unit within three days and I was finally able to use it.
Though relatively basic in external design - I guess all the engineering is inside the turbine - the JetFluid Pro has achieved what I was after. The reviews I'd seen said it was quite silent in use, and I would agree with that. The resistance is good, too - I don't run out of gears, that's for sure. Some have said it's very similar to being on the road, but I'm not so sure that's true - but of all the trainers I've ever tried (in shops, and what I've owned down the years), this is the best.
The 'Pro' suffix relates to the leg adjustment, and I'd recommend this for two reasons. Firstly, even though my garage floor is flat and perfectly horizontal, the bike tends to 'lean' to one side unless I offset the cant with the left leg's adjuster. I think there's some 'slack' in the course-threaded quick-lock system (on the left), which cause the bike's hub to 'sag' slightly. Also, there's a little bit of 'flex' in the base of main U-bar which also needs compensating for. These aren't problems as such, but are part of the design; the leg adjustment certainly helps alleviate them and ensure you get a perfectly vertical bike.
It was good to see a spare QR skewer in the box; my bike's generic one wouldn't have fitted and this means you can get onto the Turbo straight out of the box. My special offer deal came with a free riser block (the basic dish one); you will certainly need to put something under the front wheel to keep the bike horizontal and maintain a true-to-ride position when training.
After a poor start, which was superbly sorted out by Cyclops themselves, I am very happy with my JefFluid Pro; for anyone in the market for a smooth, quiet turbo, they will be pleased with both the build quality and performance of it.

Smooth Ride
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
After trying two different indoor trainers previously (both magnetic resistance) but not real satisfied with either, the Cycle Ops was one recommended to me. I used it for the first time over last winter. It was very easy to set up and the ride is very smooth and quieter than the other trainers I had. Overall the resistance I get from it feels more realistic. Taking advantage of a special sale at the store where I bought it was another plus.

Smoothness itself
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I 'upgraded' from a magnetic trainer from another well known brand and very happy with myself for doing so - instead of changing the magnetic resistance you simply use the bike's gears to go faster' just like on the road. The smoothness of the trainer is what sets it apart from magnetic resistance trainers and riding in the sweet spot is just great, although it keeps giving if you want to press on up the cassette and you'll give up before it will

My first GOOD Trainer
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I have had the JetFluid Pro for about two years. I am a clydesdale and this trainer is rock solid even with me on. I have the old style with the different tightening mechanism and while it works it isn't as nice as the new one for getting the same tightness everytime (which is important for using Virtual Trainer on TrainerRoad). Overall I could not be more please with it. Rides smooth and it pretty darn quiet for a trainer. It was a little more than I was originally planning on spending, but I think the extra bucks were well worth it as the quality of the Pro series is impeccable.

I bought this about a year ago as my first trainer and was hooked by the CycleOps lifetime warranty. I race collegiate cycling, and this gets me ready for the spring season. It has held up since then though daily training rides, and has helped me be ready for the season. It allows me to put out some insane power (I barely ever go up to my big chainring, because I can't withstand the pain for too long - but it is great at getting my legs to hurt... that's the point... right? Would definitely buy again. A true on road experience.

Great trainer for a reasonable price
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Last winter I decided to get a trainer to keep up my bike fitness over the snowy northern New York winters. I researched the options and was down to Kurt Kinetic and CycleOps for the price range I could afford. I've used both at different spin classes and they seemed to have different pluses and minuses that balanced out. I got a better deal on the CycleOps, so I purchased that. I have found it to be very well-built and quiet enough to watch TV while spinning (or not bother my husband at all while spinning with headphones). The only issue is the initial setup, which took me a bit of time to align the resistance right...but once it was set up it's super easy and quick to set up and then fold up and store. I have used it a lot and it is stable even when climbing long segments and standing, and the resistance and feel are very realistic. I'm really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal on a well-made product.

Get constant effort trainer
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I've had this trainer for about 2 years and it a very good trainer. It really works great at a constant power and if you maintain your cadence, you can hold that trainer on the trainer all day (or for as long as you can). The only shortfalls of this trainer is doing acceleration training. If you are doing jumps, its going to spin up faster than you are on the road. Despite this, if my trainer died tonight, I would get another one.

Very responsive and quiet!
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I love this trainer. My previous trainer sounded like a small plane taking off in my living room and it was jerky when I would shift from an easy pace into an interval pace. It made so much noise that my dog frequently hid upstairs while I was riding it! This beauty is quite, easy to set up and easy to store when it folds down and smoothly shifts between gears and responds quickly to tempo changes. I didn't think I would use it as much this year since we moved from Virginia to California and I have year round cycling weather, but it's a really efficient way to get in some hard miles early in the morning when it isn't that safe to be out biking. My training is more consistent year round and of much higher quality thanks to this trainer!

Solid, quiet and predictable
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
This is the second trainer I've purchased... and by far the best. Set up and riding in under 5 minutes. The resistance is predictable EVERY time and is very smooth. I couldn't believe that a trainer could feel like the road, but it's true... the faster you go, the harder it gets, just like on the road. The transition from slow to fast is just as tough as it's on the road.
I know I will be able to better gauge my training over the desolate winter months using this trainer. Combined with the rollers I purchased a few years ago, I am extremely happy with Cycle-Ops products. You know what you're buying with them, solid, safe and consistent products that perform exactly as they state.

Great trainer, but a bit loud
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I bought the trainer a while back, and it's been great for when it's wet or dark out. The main downside is that it's a bit on the loud side (I need noise isolating headphones to watch TV), and that the knob for ratcheting down the tire has a small metal component that will break if you turn the knob too far (I was storing it, and it broke while I was trying to get the knob screwed in as far as possible).

A definite improvement
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I purchased a pair of JetFluid Pros for my wife and I recently, as an upgrade from the Fluid II's that we used. The Fluid II was a very good product and served me well for about 4 years, with no issues or problems. So why purchase the JetFluid Pro? The bottom line is that CycleOps took a good design and made it even better. Specifically, the clutch knob on the rear of resistance unit makes for consistent force against the rear tire from session to session. Also, the clamping system that attaches the rear wheel to the trainer is also noticeably improved. I also have noted that the fluid reservoir runs cooler on the JetFluid Pro.

Great trainer
Pros:
Easy to Install and Use, Runs At Cool Temperature, Stable, Adjustable, Durable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Indoor Training
I replaced my 5-year-old CycleOps Fluid II with the JetFluid Pro. The Fluid II was working fine and never gave me any problems. However, I liked what I saw in the JetFluid Pro. The legs extend and retract much easier and the JetFluid Pro has a leveling adjustment on one of the legs. CycleOps has also improved the clamping action that attaches the rear wheel to the trainer - again the Fluid II worked but the JetFluid Pro is much better design that works easier. But the big attraction for me was the clutch system for mating the rear tire to the roller on the resistance unit. Instead of wondering if you've set the appropriate tension, with the JetFluid Pro, you turn the yellow knob until you hear two clicks. That's it, you're done and with consistent tension from session to session as long as you use a consistent tire pressure. One other nice touch is that CycleOps supplies a graph in the owner's manual that correlates wheel speed to power output with the JetFluid Pro. As I don't have a power meter, it's nice to have a reasonable estimation of my power output while using this trainer.

Bike Leans to Left When Mounted!
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
The width of the trainer appears too wide, when the bike is placed in the clamps the left handside adjuster is extended so far that when weight is added to the bike it drops a good inch or so and cannot stop the bike from leaning to the left. Whilst the trainer gives you the feel of the open road, hill climbing is not realistic, especially with the back clamp issue!

At first glance appears to be top notch!
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
It is early, but all indications are that this trainer is quality. However, I really do not have much to compare to, as I have only owned one trainer and that one I purchased 12 years ago--it had a lot of miles on it. Everything about your trainer has been positive. My only recommendation--explain better how to create tension on the bike tire for the proper tension and how to know what the proper tension level is. I still struggle in this area.

Solid Product
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I use this product primarily for indoor training. It is a great product, easy to use, effort feels natural. The only improvement i would suggest for all these products is to include some way to transmit power via Bluetooth Low Energy to an application on a phone (iPhone or Android). Since this product has a power curve corresponding to the speed, it wouldn't take much to measure speed and derive power. Alternatively, CycleOps could partner with Digifit, Strava, or others to provide them with Speed/Power curve they can use within the App to display power. Of course this assumes the rider has a Speed sensor on the bike communicating to the application. Just a thought...

Very smooth and consistent resistance
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I really like the ease of use, consistent resistance curve, and the fact that it is fairly quiet. Additionally, it is very stable. I use it primarily during the OutSeason when my rides are mostly interval sessions at either FTP or 120% of FTP after a short warm-up. I don't notice any resistance drift (I have a PowerTap hub so I can see if there is difference between the speed/watt relationship).

High Quality, Well Designed Trainer
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I purchased the Jet Fluid Pro based on the recommendation of a person I know who works in the cycling industry. He has access to most trainers and unhesitatingly recommended I purchase the Jet Fluid Pro. I am glad I did. I've been using it for about a month now mostly for race warmups. It's made a great contribution in that regard. Warm up on a trainer is much more controlled and efficient than trying to loops in a parking lot or open space. The timing of the warm up process really impacts my race readiness and using the Jet Fluid Pro I can completely control effort to get my heart rate and legs into the zone just before lining up. The only minor criticism I have is that the conical tension springs are not attached to the skewer ends and prone to being lost since they are loose. I applied some glue to each cap on the skewer to fix that. No big deal. The Jet Fluid Pro is really solid/well made. It's simple to use and sets up easily. My sense is that I will never have a need to upgrade this, nor do I think it will wear out even with years of hard use. Very happy with the purchase and view it as a great addition to my cycling gear.

Second indoor season and so far so good!
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I use the trainer during the winter season. This is my second season. So far so good. The trainer has remained solid and stable. It also rides very smoothly with just an occasional whine that lasts for 10 seconds or so. Other wise, its quiet and not a distraction. It suits my style of riding...big gear masher using one minute intervals at 90 rpm for 60 minutes. Heart rate within zone 2 and 3.

I used the Jet FluidPro to train for a triathlon during the winter. It was easy to set up and get started, and gave me nice smooth ride, unlike some of the "clunky" magentic trainers I've used in the past. The only thing I wish was different was that it was a little on the noisy side, but nothing that turning up the music couldn't take care of. All-in-all I'm very happy with this trainer.

Overall, a great trainer.
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I use this product for training when the weather is too cold out in Wisconsin, or to fit a workout in early in the morning when it's too dark to ride safely outside. I'm training for Ironman and use this trainer often. The unit itself works great and provides a great ride, with a road-like feel, and no unwanted vibration I have heard about from other brands of trainers. Overall I am definitely getting my legs in shape using this product, and I love it. The only issue I have had is with getting the resistance unit tight against my rear tire, as the yellow cam lever is somewhat tricky to use. I also have used a Cycleops fluid-squared trainer avidly, and that is much simpler in getting the resistance unit tight on your tire...but the Cycleops Jetfluid Pro is much easier to mount the bike on the unit itself; actually, it is super easy to mount nearly any bike to it because it is so adjustable. For example, I train on a Trek time-trial bike, but sometimes switch to a Trek road bike and have even mounted my child's bike to it just because I was amazed at it's flexibility in mounting...and there are no adjustments that need to me made to fit different sized bikes! Simply take one off and put the other one on, because different widths in the rear of your bike make no difference. Although I said the cam lever can be tricky, when you get it right (and now I do easily after much practice) it works perfectly. The only thing I had to learn (and the people at Saris were extremely helpful in solving my issue!!) was that you have to release the yellow cam lever well past 90-degrees to get the resistance unit to release properly, and to tighten properly against the tire. (the directions say only to release the lever 90-degrees) Once I figured that out I no longer have much trouble tightening the resistance unit to my tire, although for some reason it just isn't quite as easy as the fluid-squared model. But once it is tight against the tire, it is great and does everything Saris says it should. Overall I am extremely happy with this product, and although the cam lever can be a little tricky, it doesn't out-weigh the benefits and I would definitley purchase this item if I had to do it again, and would definitely recommend this to my friends.

my first cycle trainer and I love it
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Like: ease of use, easy to switch between my husband's bike & mine, quiet, little or no vibration. I enjoy using it to keep in shape! Included video was good for interval training too. Saw comments before purchasing that the resistance isn't go hard enough (not as hard as outdoors) but this is plenty for me, and I don't even have a wheel riser. Dislikes: front wheel stand isn't included; we didn't want to buy the more expensive package with the mat and raiser, it seemed not worth the cost (I could probably get a mat for $5). When I'm not using the video or bpm-mixed music I might eventually want a cadence calculator to make sure I don't get lazy. This is my first cycle trainer & I am really enjoying it! Thanks.

First Impressions
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I have only been using the Jetfluid Pro for about 3 weeks and so far have enjoyed it and almost completely abandoned my Kreitler rollers which have been my winter trainers for over a decade. The JetFluid allows for, in my opinion, a more realistic ride than other mag based trainers that I have tried. So far I have been using training routines that I have used in the past, either on the road or with rollers, but look forward to putting the included DVD to the test in the near future. Setup is easy and mounting the bike is a breeze compared to some other models I have seen or used. Setting the tension on the rear wheel could be a little easy, but once you have the hang of it it is a snap. Great product so far.

At first I was a bit concerned cause of the price but its well worth it. This thing rocks and gives the same feel of the road and is simple as installing ur front wheel. I recommend this to all. Having trained on rollers on and off for the past 19 years, has left my hands numb or tingling. Switching to a trainer has allowed me more versatility in my training. Indoor training motivation in a Cycleops
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
09 world solo 24hr video is playing but I'm not watching, but gazing out the window watching it dump with snow, appreciating the smooth feel of the Cycleops Jet Fluid Pro trainer. Its what they say, real road like feel, quiet and the unit does not vibrate. The flywheel allows for momentum to carry when you back off pedaling, allowing the rear wheel to spin, giving a smooth gear change. You can really appreciate its smoothness when doing tempo's and you can see it reflected in a consistent HR graph. If your burnt out on the trainer get a Cycleops Pro series, the performance of these machines will help you get on it day after day in the OFF season - not to mention the results it will give you in the ON season.

My first trainer
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Like many cyclists I was overwhelmed with the trainers offered in the market. I therefore felt I had to do a good amount of research before I settled on a trainer. I quickly identified I wanted a fluid trainer due to the noise level. It really came down to CycleOps and Kurt Kinetic and both had great reviews. I chose CycleOps based on the customer service comments I found in my research. As far as the product. It was easy to setup for the first use and the bike locks in securely (important). The resistance curve is great and you will have a sweat going in no time. Getting on the trainer a few times a week over the winter will ensure strong legs for the spring training. The trainer is no louder than you can have a TV running.
