Made in the USA, sturdy, quite, folds up for storage, life time warranty, and is $100 dollars cheaper than its competitor. What are you waiting for "get on your bikes and ride". The balancing learning curve is about two or three sessions, then you should have no problems riding non stop(without putting your foot down or holding the wall).

Perfect training - no boredom!
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
These are my first set of rollers. I've gone through one rubber band so far, but I really enjoy rollers as an alternative to the trainer. When riding, I work on my position, cadence, focus. When I do workouts on the rollers, I feel like I've done a bit more for my riding than just turning the pedals around. The CycleOps rollers are very good. They are are relatively quiet, easy to fold, and even on a trainer mat they stay where they should and don't slide around. The roller diameter is suitable for a wide range of cadences, and I feel like the rollers are very easy on my tires. While I have little to compare them to, these were a very good investment and I'm glad I own them.

Indestructible and stable
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
After years of use and abuse, my first set of rollers are still... rolling. The only thing that has worn out are the rubber feet on the base.
These rollers are quiet and stable. The smother my pedal stroke the smoother the rollers feel. At the top end of my cadence the band starts to get a little noisy, but that isn't until 40-45 mph. That is not a pace I can hold for too long.

Great fun to ride
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I have been using this roller for a year and cannot complain about its performance. Solid and durable. The only maintenance I did was drum's nuts retightening as they became a bit loose and caused a little vibration. Did it once and drums rolls nice and smooth.
Great fun to ride. You need to concentrate on your balance and pedal all the time. I regulate resistance using my bike gears. I also control speed, mileage and cadence using magnet sensors.
It's relatively quite so I do my trainings in front of TV watching favourite program.
Overall very nice and simple training gear and a great substitution for road ride when the weather or day time is not right to go on the road.
I would recommend this roller to anyone.

I Bought these Rollers six months ago, They're Great would recommend as living in England the weather is so unpredictable, Would say get the Resistance as It does make a difference on you getting a good work out, Felt a bit apprehensive but a lot easier to use and now get a great buzz using them, Much better than a Turbo Trainer as just more interesting to use.

Excellent alternative, especially in lousy weather
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I had a trainer for years and I still occasionally use it, but the artificiality of it drives me nuts. The bike doesn't flex and move the way you expect it to. I bought these rollers to get back some of that real-road feel.
Learning to ride rollers isn't easy, but well worth it. You can use the full range of your gears to create the resistance appropriate to your workout- low resistance recovery to high resistance intervals. The need to balance will help you become a more efficient rider too, and if you put mirrors on the wall you will be able to watch your form.
As to these rollers, I've had them for 3 years. I have done nothing to maintain them and have had no problems. They are very stable and durable. They roll very smoothly and are well made. Additionally, they fold up easily and take up a negligible amount of space. Setting them up can sometimes be a little tricky because of the double knuckle joint between the two frame pieces, but this is to be expected.

Improve Your Form
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
This is the third winter that I have had my rollers and I don't dread this time of year anymore. Not only do my rollers keep me from having to go out in the cold, wet, and/or windy weather; they also help me improve my balance, quicken my cadence, and smooth out my pedal stoke. Besides all that I can do high-intensity interval training (HITT) that a puddle under the bike and build strength in a fraction of the time a road workout would take. I still ride in the hallway (to feel a little more secure), but I'm hooked, for sure.

Sure helps when you can't go outside
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Bought the rollers without resistance about a month ago from my LBS. After about 15 minutes on the first ride I was pretty comfortable. It's pretty smooth but I develop a vibration at about 25 mph and up, not a problem but noticeable. I ride mostly on flat roads and I'd estimate that I'm 2-3 mph faster on the rollers at a similar effort level. Great for keeping in shape and they fold up very easily so they don't take up much space.

CycleOps Rollers
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I don't enjoy riding indoors, but the rollers make it bearable. I have had three different "trainers" and through out all the variations I come back to the rollers. These are smooth, quiet, and the diameter of the drum gives a good realistic ride feel. I have the magnetic resistance unit attached and have progressed up the resistance a bit, but there is plenty of harder settings if I should ever need them.

Balance and Control, Confidence for Pack Riding
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I received my rollers last Christmas from my wife. I've used a trainer for years but it's been 20+ years since my last set of plastic drum rollers. I found the aluminum rollers to be very balanced and comfortable. For me rollers are the best way to ride smoothly and well-balance. They provide confidence for pack riding and racing unlike any other system.

Great Indoor Training Option
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I bought these a few years ago and they are still in great shape. I pull them out when outdoor riding becomes difficult. They roll well and are great training for smoothing out my pedal stroke. I like that I have to maintain my balance as well as being able to get in a good workout. I don't get bored on these like I can on a regular trainer. They fold up to a nice storable size when not in use.

Sturdy Construction + Great Workout
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I commute 5 days of the week and try to ride for as much of the year as I can. Being from the northeastern US, snowstorms can get in the way sometimes. I wanted something to keep me in shape and keep my body in sync with my own bicycle in the off season. I did a fair amount of research before finally deciding on rollers as opposed to other forms of indoor cycling. From what I can tell, these rollers provide the most effective workout and the most realistic ride. After 20-30 minutes on the rollers, I am sweatier than any other workout I can think of (except Bikram, obviously).
I always set these up in a hallway to ride. It would be extremely difficult to get onto your bike and start riding without a wall or railing to hold yourself steady against. I think the best way to figure out how to use the rollers properly is to watch a few videos on youtube of other riders and then just hop on and give it a shot.
My biggest complaint is the noise, but I realize that any bike trainer will be noisy from all the vibrations. I get a sort of squeaky rubber on metal sound from the tires whenever I ride, even if I clean the rollers off after each use. I wonder if anybody has had a similar experience and whether or not the PVC rollers have this issue.
Just a weird side note--I used to work at a custom fabrication shop and out of general engineering curiosity, I put together a quote on how much it might cost us to fabricate a pair of rollers out of similar materials with the same form and function. The wholesale materials alone (bearings, tubing, aluminum rollers, etc) cost more than these rollers do. This doesn't do much for me except help me feel ever-so-slightly better about the price tag.
Anyway, great product. I would highly recommend these to anybody who is serious about riding. A+

These are outstanding rollers. Considered others and researched the Cycleops. They are well built for cycleops and I've ridden them at least 2000 miles since I've gotten them. They are quiet, durable and very portable. After about 8 months, I swapped out the rear roller with a sportscrafters overdrive drum and now I have a very stout set of rollers. Great buy.

Solid and relatively quiet
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I've been using these for 2 full years now and I can attest that they are pretty solid/durable for the price and also relatively quiet. Note that I've put these over top of one of those yoga mat (rubberized mat) on top of hardwood floor and this might actually help in dampening the noise. I don't have the resistance attachment but I might actually be getting one later next year.

Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
My wife bought these for me because I just couldn't get into a stationary trainer. These are much more mentally engaging and allow me get through an indoor workout when the weather is poor. The rollers seem to be high quality and they come pre-assembled in the box. The setup is quite simple and adjusting them to the right size for a bike is quick and easy. This is my first set of rollers but I am very pleased.

Best overall training tool
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Rollers have helped me improve my triathlon times and maintain overall fitness year round. Do not be discouraged learning to use them - it feels like learning to ride a bike all over again. I could not let go of the wall for at least the first 5 tries - youtube videos helped. Be persistent - once you get it, you become a more technical cyclist, more aware of cadence, pedal stroke, feel and balance on the bike. I noticed a nice improvement in aerobic capacity, balance and confidence this past spring when I hit the roads again.

A great smooth ride
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I leave the rollers set up in my house year round. When it is not desirable or possible to ride outdoors, the rollers offer a unique training experience that is always available. Using the rollers is a totally different riding experience, and can be much more demanding than riding outdoors. Pedaling must be very smooth and consistent. There is no opportunity to coast while using the rollers, Balancing on the rollers is much more difficult than riding the bike on the road and there is a definite, but very satisfying learning curve to mastering this type of riding. For me,the optional resistance accessory was not necessary. Using the gears and varying the pace of pedaling offers an unlimited range of resistance. The unit comes fully assembled, runs very quietly and is easy to set up with no tools required. The only adjustment is to move the front roller to accommodate the size of the bike. Another nice feature of the rollers, as opposed to other devices that require the bike to be mechanically connected, is that, when outdoor riding is desired, the bike instantly lifts off the rollers with no disassembly and after the outdoor ride, the bike instantly goes back on the rollers with no assembly required.

Pros:

I'm a reborn cyclist trying to enter my 1st competitive race after a 25yr hiatus. I believe I've chosen the right roller (with resistance)trainer. After two practice sessions I am now full-out into my indoor training program. This unit is easy to set-up, easy to get my balance, and options to increase resistance will definitely be in my future plans.
I am using my aluminum rollers for exercise. For me, the rollers were easy to get used to. They are light weight, fold in half for easy storage and are easy to set up. I received them just a few days after ordering them and they came assembled.

Great Rollers
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
These are my first rollers and it took a few tries to get use to riding them. Once you learn, they are more fun to use than a regular trainer. The product itself is well made and the aluminum rollers are well constructed, smooth, and quiet. Set up is very simple and it only takes about a minute. I do wish it had a parabolic shaped roller up front to help you stay on the rollers, but it is not a deal breaker.

Worth the money if you put in the effort
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I commute to work 9-10 months of the year, 16 miles round trip (as long as it's not pouring rain or freezing cold). I occasionally ride on the weekends as well. I purchased the aluminum rollers to keep my legs/body in shape for the 2-3 months of the year that it is way too cold or snowy to get on the road. Using the rollers requires full concentration and a 20-30 minute ride is definitely rewarding in terms of the workout provided. There are no rest periods and the rollers teach you to pedal continuously. If you start to get tired or lazy, you will almost certainly lose your balance or go off the side. They take some practice to ride and after using them for a few months I still fall off. They are quieter than exercise bikes or rear-wheel trainers, but they are by no means 'quiet'. Headphones or loud music helps distract you from the squeak of the tires and the fact that you're going absolutely nowhere. I would recommend these to a dedicated cyclist, as they can improve your concentration, balance, and riding form. If you are a casual rider and would just like to use your bike for cardio workouts instead of buying a gym membership, I would recommend going with a fixed trainer instead.

Great rollers
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I train a fair amount on rollers in the Australian winter. No, it doesn't snow here, but everyone seems to hibernate, so I may as well do some sessions with Robbie Ventura! First thing first, rollers are easy to use; don't listen to the moron brigade who try to convince you stationary trainers are too much better; you can get adequate tension on rollers, and it doesn't take much practice to ride them at near maximal intensities. No hands riding isn't that hard either; I don't even use a wall, just place it right in the center of the lounge room on a mat. Rollers are great! The human body is a kinetic chain, so just training your legs is not as effective as training your core to fire properly with your legs; sometimes you see Ivan Basso doing his head-bobbing thing, and it's almost a sure sign of underdeveloped core strength. Core muscles (like all skeletal muscles) get better with how you use them; cycling with them makes them better at cycling. Stationary training will not improve them, and create a weakness in the link.. Not to say that stationary trainers don't have their place; perhaps a balance is best. They're also quieter than wind and mag trainers. The magnetic setting works quite well, even though I don't really understand how it does. It can add up to about 25% extra resistance on the highest setting (5). Having the resistance setting on 1 seems to feel real to life. Perhaps in the future, the finer points of design can be improved; sometimes in high intensities, the cord begins to rattle slightly; it's not an issue, just off putting. You can solve it by putting something (i use a small box) about 3mm from the cord, so it doesn't rattle. So remember, they're good high quality rollers with a lifetime guarantee, and a perfect training tool for high intensity sessions (as opposed to endurance outdoor sessions), and great for when you just cant or don't feel like getting outside.

Quieter and Easier Than Expected
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Great Product. I was nervous about it being too noisy and too difficult to learn the balance. Wrong on both accounts. It only took me a few tries (with a wall on one side and my son on the other) before I was spinning away. I got 15 miles in without going anywhere. I watched the news and wore out my legs. Good stuff! The only thing they need to improve: My front wheel came off while learning - this will happen a few times. It landed on the plastic grip to adjust the roller position and snapped it right off. Bummer. Still works of course - just cosmetic damage. Other than that, I would have rated it a five! GREAT Trainer!

Long term review
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
I've been riding these rollers for over 6 years probably thousands of 'miles'. In that time, the frame finish has become dull and scrapped, the roller axles and bearings have been replaced once and the belt looks a little less springy but does the job well. Rollers are the perfect compliment to the trainer. You develop the smoothness and control that fall to the way side while locked into a trainer. The resistance very little in comparison but it is a great way to do warm ups and cool downs and recovery spins. I expect these rollers to last for many, many more years. I've tried the magnetic resistance version, it can help if your working on more full range of smooth control on the bike, but you can do everything you need with a trainer and a set of simple rollers like these.

Small Learning Curve, Big Benefits
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Rollers came highly recommended by my LBS and after some discussion was sold on them even though I was tentative about buying rollers at first because of the videos online showing people falling and having a miserable time. I was also drawn to the challenge after witnessing triathletes practicing transition drills on the rollers. My experience with rollers has been good. Within 30 minutes of my first use I was clipped in and riding. During the second use, my balance improved and I was able to adjust hand position. My balance and stability improve each use. I have and at times still come off the rollers but am able to recover quickly and not wreck. During group rides I noticed I am much more centered and bike handling has improved. Also due to the nature of roller training, my pedaling has become smoother and more efficient on the road. Each roller session is a quality workout because I am forced to focus on stability, balance, pedaling and cadence. It is a humbling workout for me to maintain focus and work ethic for the duration. If you lose focus, you may come off the rollers. I have owned rollers for 3 weeks and found that shifting gears is enough resistance for me. I usually train for an hour and find myself struggling with mental focus after 45 minutes. If you want a resistance unit you can purchase the set up front or add a resistance unit and fork stabilizer at a later time. I would recommend you also purchase the floor mat and bike thong because you will sweat a lot while riding.

First pair of rollers. Very good build quality and low noise. Surprised how easy it was to get used to. 5 minutes and I was rolling smooth and confident. Resistance unit came pre-installed but was not set up properly. It rubbed the roller on the hardest setting and I had to adjust it, but not a big problem. All in all a great product that I will be able to use for a long time.
