Valve types
Schrader valves are identical to those found on car tires. These valves are generally used on hybrid and children's bikes. Presta valves, which are found on most road and off-road bikes, are longer and thinner and feature a threaded tip, which must be opened to inflate (turn counterclockwise).

I ride all off road. Some trails are rugged but a lot are fire roads and paths in the hills. I purchased 3 tubes to keep on hand and thought that would last me a while. Not the case. I went through all 3 in 3 rides. They were all punctured by the smallest of stickers which are unavoidable pretty much anywhere you ride.
I expected a lot more durability from a big name like Bontrager. The tubes were affordable but after losing all three and the CO2 cartridges it took to fill the replacements on the trail it proved to be of no savings. They will probably be okay on the streets as long as your town doesn't have tumble weeds or tiny stickers on the road.
