Features & Info

Valve types

Schrader valves are identical to those found on car tires. These valves are generally used on hybrid and children's bikes. Presta valves, which are found on most road and off-road bikes, are longer and thinner and feature a threaded tip, which must be opened to inflate (turn counterclockwise).

Tried and True

Pros:
Fixes Flats No Effort
Cons:
Little Heavier
Best Uses:
Touring
I bought this tube in Idaho on my cross country tour, and put it on my rear(load bearing) tire. I would estimate that I got 5 flats on this tube over the course of the tour, and each time the tire sealed itself and I was able to move on with no issue. In fact, it wasn't until the 6th flat in Florida that it failed, and I think a screwdriver went through my tire that time. It's a little heavier, but any tube that can take me across most of the country and requires zero maintenance is a winner in my book.
