Our good friend & long time part time employee at Fitzgerald’s, Dave Houlton, had a very serious accident on Teton Pass this past weekend. He is moving along the very slow road to recovery in the Idaho Falls Intensive Care Unit and could use a little shout out from you. When you walk in the shop, turn right, and please take a moment to write a message to Dave. Whether you knew him or not, he’d be psyched to know you’ve thought about him during his battle. The shop means a lot to BTD (Big Tall Dave) and having our energy sent his way will help incredibly.
The Idaho Transportation Dept has chip sealed Highway 33 from the state line to Victor. We highly recommend not riding this section of highway for at least 3-5 days to allow the loose chips to work their way off the road. Personally I’d give it at least a week.
Still getting caught up from the 5 day Bike Park Build - Look for a full report soon. Come ride it!
Every delay possibly was thrown at us yesterday by the airlines but no big surprise there right!? The funniest though was the broken gas main in jackson on the way back from the airport! Classic! So we didn’t get going until 7pm, but that didn’t stop Jay Hoots and Councilman Johnny Ziem from Givn’r! We moved almost all the intial dirt into place after the mad scientist (Jay Hoots) quickly spray painted the layout.
We’ll be at it again today starting at 8am.
I wouldn’t say that riding up Pole Canyon is fun, but the views and quality of singletrack at the top is world class!
Descending back into Mike Harris with views of Victor and beyond.
The Mike Harris DH is awesome! If you like Philips Canyon you will LOVE Mike Harris. Not for the beginner rider
Everyone should carry a pack saw! The trail still has some downfall, but we cleared most of it.
