Custom Builds and Personalized Bikes are Easy with Fitzgerald's
Looking for your dream bike but can't quite find it in a stock bike? Don't worry we can help you conceive, find and build your dream bike with a custom, frame up bike build. Or have you found an amazing bike that needs a few changes to make it your dream? Custom builds & personalized bikes are not just for super bike geeks, they can be for anyone! And they are easy!
Here's how:
It all starts with just a conversation with Scott or Jay P. Your conversation with Scott or Jay is going to help guide the custom build. You can stop in the shop or call us at 208-787-2453. He is going to ask you about the following things:
Your riding style and goals for your new bike
What you like and dislike about your current bike
What you want in your future bike
Any particular components that you want or don't want
Favorite Colors
How important weight is to you
Your Budget
Have you had a bike fit recently

A bike fit is often a great starting point for a custom or personalized bike. You can read all about bike fits on our Fit Page, but know they can be a way to figure out how to personalize your current bike to make it more comfortable or a way to figure out what frame will work with your needs. We even have great working relationships with frame builders like Moots and Serrota who can build a frame just for you!
Then the magic starts. Jay will put your preferences into our custom bike builder spreadsheet and and gets to work. He will come up with a couple alternative builds for you. And more importantly he makes sure that all the components and the frame work well together so that when your bike is built it will ride incredibly well. This part of the process can take as little as a day.
.
Once you've decided on the frame and parts package, we'll order your parts and the frame. And then Michael, our mechanic, gets to work building your new bike.
